About Me
My name is Arya Babul, and I am a rising senior at West Career & Technical Academy, a magnet high school in Las Vegas, Nevada. I plan to pursue my medical education through a BS/MD pathway. I am the Founder and President of the Society for Awareness of Neglected Diseases (SAND), a student led nonprofit dedicated to increasing awareness of neglected tropical diseases among aspiring health professionals. I am also the Founder and President of the Summerlin Chess Club, which works to make chess accessible to students from historically underserved communities. I was born in Philadelphia to first generation immigrant parents. I live in Las Vegas with my parents and my younger brother, who has autism spectrum disorder.
